Modern Space Exploration

Space exploration in the 21st century just keeps getting better and better. We started off a little slow, but with each passing year the world continues to send more and more satellites, rovers, and space ships on new and exciting missions, not to mention multiple Google X Prizes and contests.

Satellites now orbit Mars and on this very day, the Philae European Space Agency Lander that accompanied the Rosetta spacecraft landed on comet 67P over ten years after leaving the Earth. In my opinion, this is outstanding. I hope these breakthroughs will lead to a time when my children's and grandchildren's generation will look back from their colony on the moon or the space station they live on and ask us why it took so long.

Happy Veterans Day!

Today is Veterans Day. I see this as a unique opportunity to thank those who have, do, or ever will wear (i.e. those in the Delayed Entry Program) a United States military uniform.

I love hearing stories from my family members and friends who were in the military in the past. It is amazing to me how much things have changed, but it is fun to see the things which are the same as well.

I also love how many businesses and individuals go out of their way to show their appreciation not just on this day, but throughout the year. The patriotic spirit within our nation is refreshing.

The Expendables

Ever since I was a child, I've wanted someone to make a movie with all of my favorite action heroes in it. Unfortunately the Expendables I, II, and III are a little more violent than I would have liked. It also came slightly later in many careers than I would have liked as well. These things aside, I'm very glad to have almost all of the most iconic action heroes, which I have always loved watching, in one set of movies. Hopefully there will be more movies like them.

Please Vote!

  One of the neatest things about our country is the fact that we are able to pick our own leaders... from the mayor of our own town all the way up to the President himself! Every one of us has the ability to make a difference in our nation, just by the vote we cast each election.

            From time to time, someone that we didn’t vote for gets elected. Just remember that this is not the end of the world. Everyone who is elected in our nation is elected for a term... they won’t be in office forever. If you don’t like the person in office, then help their opponent win the next election... but make sure to support them for now. The person who is elected now is the person the majority of voters, wanted in office. This being the case, make sure to show them the respect that they deserve. As the saying goes... “If you don’t vote, you can’t complain.”

It does not matter what state we are from or how much money we have (or don't have), each one of us in America has the same right to vote.

It does not matter what your political beliefs are, if at all possible, please get out and vote during every election.

He is the one that we demand
